Thousands of pet parents have seen their furry friends transform into vibrant, healthy and happy members of their families by feeding them Sherwood Pet Health's hay-based diet. The brand's products are more important than soy, as revealed in the following tips:

Tip 1: Encourage your pet rabbit to eat more hay and drink more water by feeding less of these items: salads, greens, veggies, fruits, grain, and soy found in most pellets and treats. These food items are sweeter than hay and increase digestive health problems. When your rabbit eats more dry hay, they will drink more water for better urinary health.

Tip 2: Watch for the warning signs of digestive upset (risk of stasis): malformed poops (not round), un-eaten cecotropes, low energy or less active than normal, and low appetite - won't eat favorite treat? Digestive health, G.I. tract motility, energy, and appetite are all closely related to each other. If one declines, the others will decline too.

Tip 3: Feeding greens will increase signs of digestive upset. This has been tested, and even a small amount of greens fed to a 6-pound rabbit caused these signs of digestive upset to appear within a few days, and it took over a week of not feeding any greens to fix it.

Tip 4: If hay is the first ingredient, is the formula mostly hay? No! Excess grain and soy are not a natural part of your rabbits' diet and will increase the signs of digestive upset. Grain and soy, in multiple forms, are often hidden in pellets that have hay as the first ingredient, but these pellets are usually less than 35% hay.

Tip 5: Feed real hay and no substitutes! Sherwood's formulas contain real hay and don't use low-cost ingredients, like soybean hulls or oat hulls, as an alternative to using real hay. Their hay-based formulas are grain-free, soy-free, and science-based, formulated by a PhD Molecular Biologist.

Nourish your pet's best life with the Sherwood Pet Health diet plan, and join the thousands of pet parents who have seen their furry friends transform into vibrant, healthy, and happy members of their families.
